The Hoppings funfair is believed to be one of the largest travelling funfairs in Europe, comprising hundreds of attractions set up on Newcastle upon Tyne’s Town Moor. The event, which originally began as a temperance fair in 1882, runs until 28 June and is expected to attract 500,000 visitors
