Buffalo Bills 13–30 Miami Dolphins
Tua Tagovailoa threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns, De’Von Achane added a pair of rushing scores and the Miami Dolphins beat the Buffalo Bills to end a seven-game losing streak against their AFC East rivals. The Bills (6-3) had not lost to Miami (3-7) since Week 3 of the 2022 season but came out flat on Sunday.
Achane finished with 225 scrimmage yards and fourth-quarter touchdowns of 59 and 35 yards. Tagovailoa completed 15 of 21 passes with two interceptions to give him a league-leading 12 picks this season. It was also the most dominant performance of the season for Miami’s defense, which had three takeaways and three sacks. Josh Allen threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns, with an interception and fumble, but was replaced by Mitchell Trubisky after Achane’s second TD put the Dolphins up by 17 with three minutes left.
Jacksonville Jaguars 29-36 Houston Texans
Davis Mills delivered a trio of fourth-quarter touchdowns to help the Houston Texans erase a 19-point deficit and rally for victory over the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars (5-4). Mills completed 27 of 45 passes for 292 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in his first start since January 2023 as he took the place of CJ Stroud, who was absent through concussion. Mills led the Texans on three straight scoring drives after they fell behind 29-10 with 1:33 left in the third quarter. After touchdown passes with 12:16 and 7:29 left, the game-winning drive for a TD came on a 14-yard Mills scramble on third-and-goal with 30 seconds left, finishing off an improbable comeback for a win the Texans (4-5) badly needed. The win marked the biggest fourth-quarter comeback in Texans franchise history.
New York Giants 20-24 Chicago Bears
Caleb Williams threw a touchdown pass and scrambled for a go-ahead score in the fourth quarter, helping the Chicago Bears beat Jaxson Dart, who left the game with a concussion, and the New York Giants (2-8). Led by Williams, Chicago scored the last 14 points after Younghoe Koo’s 19-yard field goal gave New York a 20-10 lead with 10:19 left. CJ Gardner-Johnson had two sacks for the 6-3 Bears, including one of Russell Wilson on a key third down in the final period. Williams sparked the rally with a two-yard touchdown pass to Rome Odunze, making it 20-17 with 3:56 left.
Atlanta Falcons 25-31 Indianapolis Colts (OT)
Jonathan Taylor completed a 244-yard rushing day with a touchdown run in overtime to give the Indianapolis Colts (8-2) victory over the Atlanta Falcons (3-6) in the first regular-season NFL game in Berlin. It was Taylor’s third touchdown of the game and came after Colts kicker Michael Badgley tied the game with a 44-yard field goal with 25 seconds left. Tyler Allgeier’s second touchdown was a one-yard plunge that give the Falcons a 25-22 lead with 1:44 left in regulation.
New England Patriots 28–23 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
TreVeyon Henderson had touchdown runs of 69 and 55 yards, Drake Maye threw two TD passes, and the New England Patriots beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their seventh straight win. After Maye threw an interception in the end zone, the Patriots (8-2) made a big stop on fourth-and-three at their own 27. Henderson then sealed the win with his 69-yard TD run. The rookie finished with a career-high 147 yards rushing on 14 carries. The Buccaneers were the first team in NFL history to have each of their first four wins of the season come on a game-winning score in the final minute of regulation. They had a chance to do it again when Tykee Smith intercepted Maye’s pass from the 2 in the end zone with 5:17 left.
Baltimore Ravens 27–19 Minnesota Vikings
Lamar Jackson completed 17 of 29 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown, and the Baltimore Ravens finished strong to secure a win over the Minnesota Vikings. Justice Hill rushed for a touchdown and Mark Andrews hauled in a touchdown pass for Baltimore (4-5), who won their third game in a row after a four-game losing streak. Derrick Henry had 20 carries for 75 yards. JJ McCarthy completed 20 of 42 passes for 248 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for Minnesota (4-5). The Ravens outscored the Vikings 18-9 in the second half to grab the lead and secure the win. The Ravens turned three takeaways into 13 points. Meanwhile, the Vikings committed eight false-start penalties.
Cleveland Browns 20–27 New York Jets
New York got touchdowns on a kickoff return and a punt return in the same game for the first time in franchise history, Breece Hall took a screen pass from Justin Fields 42 yards for the go-ahead score and the Jets held on to defeat the Cleveland Browns. Five days after trading All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, the Jets came off their bye-week break to win their second game in a row. Kene Nwangwu returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, and Isaiah Williams brought back a punt 74 yards for a score. Will McDonald had four sacks to tie a Jets single-game record. The result leaves both teams at 2-7 this season.
New Orleans Saints 17–7 Carolina Panthers
Rookie Tyler Shough earned his first win as an NFL starting quarterback, throwing for 282 yards and two touchdowns as the New Orleans Saints (2-8) beat the Carolina Panthers (5-5) to snap a four-game skid. Shough connected with Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson for long touchdowns, and Alvin Kamara ran for 83 yards for the Saints. New Orleans outgained Carolina 388 yards to 175. Bryce Young was limited to 124 yards passing and turned the ball over twice as his four-game win streak as a starter ended.
