Police investigating blaze in Peacehaven say 46-year-old is suspected of arson with intent to endanger life

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a fire at a mosque in East Sussex.

Sussex police said a 46-year-old man was in custody after an arrest was made on Monday.

The front entrance to the mosque in Peacehaven was damaged and a car parked outside was burnt out after the incident on Saturday night, which has been condemned by political figures and faith groups.
